Minister Tino Machakaire Urges Community Accountability and Development in Hwange ZANU-PF Meeting

In a recent inter-district meeting of ZANU-PF held in Hwange, Hon. Minister Tino Machakaire addressed pressing issues impacting the local community. He emphasized the critical need for accountability among investors, urging that those who do not contribute positively to the community should be actively traced and held responsible. This call to action aims to ensure that investors play a meaningful role in enhancing the local economy and providing tangible benefits to residents.

Minister Machakaire also confronted the issue of corruption within the party, warning members against elitism and self-serving behaviors. He reiterated that ZANU-PF is a party for all, not just a privileged few, and cautioned against individuals joining solely for personal gain.

A particular focus of the Minister’s address was the Hwange Colliery Company, which is owned by Chinese investors. He called on the company to demonstrate its commitment to corporate social responsibility by prioritizing job creation for local youth and contributing to the community’s welfare.

Expressing gratitude for the youth empowerment initiatives launched by His Excellency, Minister Machakaire announced a substantial allocation of resources, including 200,000 units of unspecified resources, as well as trucks and tractors for each province. He underscored the importance of women empowerment programs and the urgent need to tackle drug and substance abuse within the community.

The Minister’s address emphasized the necessity of collective action to build a brighter future for Hwange, calling on all community members to work together towards shared goals. This meeting served as a vital platform for discussing the future of Hwange and ensuring that the voices of its residents are heard and acted upon.
