The community of Hwange and the entire Matabeleland North Region is geared up for one of the biggest events on the provincial calendar as the *Annual Matabeleland North Provincial Agricultural Show* returns this August.
Running under the theme, “Building Initiatives for a Sustainable Future”, the show will be held from Wednesday 5 August to Saturday 8 August 2026 at the Matabeleland North Showgrounds in number 2 Hwange.
Organised by the Matabeleland North Show Society, this year’s edition has attracted strong interest with close to 50 exhibitors registered and have already set-up. The line-up includes companies, state entities, private sector players, educational institutions, as well as *Lyeja FM* and over 50 farmers from across the country who will showcase their products, services and innovations. An exclusive farmers conference is scheduled for Friday the 7th of August at 14:00 hrs.
More Than Just Farming
Beyond agriculture, the show promises family entertainment and national pride. Visitors can expect displays by the National Armed Forces, thrilling rides including jumping castles and putt-putt golf, plus interactive sessions with wildlife and animals. There will also be plenty of activities and games for kids and the young at heart.
Grand Finale with Clement Magwaza
The official opening will be held on Saturday 8 August 2026, and it will be followed by a massive shutdown “Musical Gala!” Headlining the event is Rhumba Maestro Clement Magwaza, who will spice up the evening with live rhumba music and dance, supported by top various local artists.
Entry Details
Organisers say entry fees for the first three days will be $3 for adults and $1 for children aged 6 to 10 years. On Saturday, gate charges will be $5 for adults and $1 for 7 children.
