YSSA Writes History

Double Qualification in the Munhumutapa Cup βš½πŸ‘‘

Deep in rural Hwange, where the dust meets the edge of Zimbabwe’s biggest national park, a community known for living in harmony with wildlife is now roaring for a different reason.

YSSA is writing its own history.

Against all odds, both our U14 and U16 girls have qualified for the next round of the ZIFA Munhumutapa Cup β€” Zimbabwe’s biggest knockout tournament.

It took leadership, heart, and belief.

For the U14s, it had to be Captain Francisca Ncube. With national team experience and the confidence gained from BancABC exposure, she led from the front and delivered a memorable win that sent the whole village into celebration.

The U16s answered the call too. Led by the fearless Rejoice Mpofu, they took it on their shoulders and cemented the double qualification. One team opened the door. The other kicked it down.

This is more than football. This is a rural academy proving that talent is everywhere.

YSSA is already producing players for the big stage. Colleta Khumalo is currently with Black Mambas, and Yeyani Ncube is shining at Maningi Youth Soccer Academy.

From the wild to the pitch, from Hwange to the national stage β€” YSSA girls are on the move.
