VICTORIA FALLS, ZIMBABWE — In a major boost for regional developmental initiatives, Zimbabwe’s Ministry of Energy and Power Development has officially endorsed the upcoming Southern Africa Eco-Infrastructure Summit (SAEIS) 2026. The prestigious three-day regional event is set to take place in the resort city of Victoria Falls from 15–17 July 2026.
The summit arrives at a critical juncture for regional planning, convening a powerful coalition of government leaders, municipalities, utilities, development finance institutions, and private sector innovators. Together, they aim to unlock investment and drive sustainable developmental pathways across Southern Africa.
Driving Regional Integration and Vision 2030
Acting as both the Lead Policy Ministry and Co-Host, the Ministry of Energy and Power Development’s high-level endorsement—led by the Minister, Deputy Minister, and Permanent Secretary—firmly aligns with Zimbabwe’s Vision 2030 agenda.

Introducing the “Shark Tank” of Regional Infrastructure
A major highlight of this year’s summit is the debut of the SAEIS Investment Arena Challenge. Dubbed a “Shark Tank for Infrastructure,” this live pitching platform will feature ten shortlisted regional projects presenting directly to a distinguished panel of investors, development finance institutions, and government ministers.
The challenge aims to bypass traditional funding bottlenecks by matching bankable projects directly with decision-makers. Pitching categories will cover:
