In a commendable display of generosity and community spirit, the Nengasha District Youth League, under the guidance of its leaders, has once again demonstrated its commitment to uplifting the lives of the less fortunate. On the 4th of June 2026, Vice Chairman of the Nengasha youth league, Mr. Edward Makumbinde, in alignment with President Cde Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa ‘s visionary goals of fostering inclusivity and support for the vulnerable, made a significant donation of a grocery hamper to John Mhlanga, a 77-year-old blind man who faces the added challenge of immobility. His wife, who also struggles with mobility, benefits greatly from this thoughtful contribution.

The donation ceremony took place in the presence of esteemed guests, including Anna C. Chuma, the Chairlady of the Women’s League, Morefaith R. Mdala, the Secretary of Administration for the Women’s League, and Warren Mwaikeke, the Political Commissar of our Youth League. Their presence at the event not only underscores the importance of community solidarity but strengthens our collective resolve to support those in need.

This initiative is a reflection of the broader vision of our leadership, spearheaded by Chairman Weston Mandiopera, who continues to inspire us to be proactive in addressing the needs of the vulnerable members of our society. His unwavering dedication serves as a model for all of us in the Youth League.

Our President has always emphasized the importance of community-driven initiatives aimed at supporting the less privileged, ensuring that every individual can lead a life of dignity and purpose. This vision aligns perfectly with our efforts to help those like Mr. Mhlanga, who are striving to overcome their circumstances.

Mr. Mhlanga and his wife have expressed their desire to engage in small-scale projects, including broiler chicken farming, as a means to sustain them and improve their living conditions. In light of this, we appeal to our community and other generous souls to consider supporting this couple further, as they embark on this journey toward self-sufficiency. Any contributions towards their projects would go a long way in making a tangible difference in their lives.

The Nengasha District Youth League remains committed to fostering an environment of compassion and support, as guided by our president’s vision. We believe that together, we can create a robust support system for every member of our community.

For those who wish to contribute or seek more information on how to support John Mhlanga and his wife, please do not hesitate to reach out to the Nengasha District Youth League. Let us continue to work together to uplift those around us, ensuring that no one is left behind.

Together, we can build a stronger, more compassionate community in Nengasha District.
