Lincoln Ted Ncube was born into a family of athletes. Now, he is making a name for himself through hard work and determination. The 16 year old from Embakwe High School is celebrating a big achievement. He won a bronze medal at the national level, adding to his growing collection of medals.

Lincoln is the son of former Zimbabwean athlete Temba Ncube. He started running at a very young age in primary school. He took part in provincial competitions and showed promise early on. Now in Upper 6 at Embakwe, he continues to do well. He brings home medals every year.

Lincoln competed at the National Level and won bronze in the 110m hurdles. Along with the bronze, he also brought home five medals from the district level.

Lincoln comes from Hwange, but he represented Matabeleland South at the NASH Competitions. His mother is very proud of what he has done. She said, “Last year he did not make it to the nationals in Bindura. But this time he brought home a bronze medal. That is a great achievement. We are so proud.”

Lincoln is proving that he can follow in his father’s footsteps and still shine on his own. With his final year of high school still going on, he has a bright future ahead in both athletics and studies.
