20 June 2026 ,Dete, Zimbabwe | Weekend Preview
Two massive fixtures on the cards.. One has league leaders testing their title credentials, the other is a wild card shootout.
Main Camp Sables vs Chapungu FC
Air Force vs The Wilderness Kings
Main Camp Sables FC
Log leaders for a reason. The Sables are organized, disciplined, and deadly on the break. They don’t concede much and they punish mistakes. Playing at Main Camp gives them that home-ground advantage – tight pitch, vocal crowd, and altitude that wears teams down. They’ll sit, absorb, and hit Chapungu when they overcommit. Players to watch: Pedzisai ” Pundo” Shereni and, as cool as a cucumber, Captain Talizi “Sheffield” Chuma, very disciplined and solid in defence but underrated. Here is an unsung hero of the team but one of the best defenders in the league.
Chapungu FC
The “Air Commandos ” When Chapungu’s wings are working, they’re one of the most entertaining sides in the league. Quick passing, high press, and goals from all over. Their problem this season has been consistency away from home. Against the log leaders, they’ll need to be brave but patient.
Men to watch: Craig “Mara ” Millie and veteran Tawanda Lingson Sangura ” the durawall’.
Key Battle:
Sables’ compact midfield vs Chapungu’s creative No.10 Mara If Chapungu can unlock the Sables’ block, it’s game on. If not, Sables will grind them down.
Expect few chances, big moments.Shereni can single-handed destroy any opponent on his day . Norman Nyoni is also a player to watch for Sables.

Crocodiles vs Lupote Eagles
Teeth vs Talons.
Crocodiles Fc– Sneaky and clinical. Crocodiles don’t dominate possession but they wait for the kill. One turnover, one cross, one header and it’s 1-0. They’re dangerous at set pieces and their keeper has been in “brick wall” form. Their biggest challenge is turning dominance into wins , there are the whipping boys of the league but they usually raise their game when playing against their neighbours Eagles and Leopards . They give it all albeit on a losing note. Man to watch: Takalang Nare and Itumelang ” khulu”
Lupote Eagles FC
The Eagles fly high, they call themselves the flying machine.Fast transitions, aggressive fullbacks, and a striker who lives on the shoulder of the last defender. They score goals, but they also leave space behind. It’s high risk, high reward football. Away from Lupote they’re less predictable, but when they click they can put 3+ past anyone. They boost of solid defense marshalled by Keith “Walker” Mlilo and Brandon “Jota” Sibelo . upfront they boost of the slippery Nqgabutho ” Hazard” Mhlanga.
Key Battle:
Crocodiles’ back 4 vs Lupote’s Eagles pace up top. If Eagles stretch the game, Crocodiles will struggle. If Crocodiles stay compact and hit on the counter, Eagles get bitten, but don’t rule out a Crocodiles smash-and-grab.
Weekend Vibe:

Two totally different games. Sables vs Chapungu = chess match, tactics and tension. Crocodiles vs Lupote Eagles = end-to-end, end-to-end action.
Which one are you watching live? And who’s lifting the Rhino Cup this year?
