The Office of the MP for Hwange Central constituency is thrilled to announce that the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) Implementation Committee held a highly successful meeting earlier today, marking a significant step in the development of the community.
The gathering featured a diverse group of participants, including:
- Staff from the Office of the MP
- CDF Committee members
- Ward Councillors
- Proportional Representation (PR) Councillors
- Members of the Ward Development Committee
- Directors from Jimmy Jimmy Borehole Company
During the meeting, attendees adopted a comprehensive project implementation plan, which is organized into five key stages to ensure effective progress and community involvement:
- Ward Development Committee Meetings: These will be held in Wards 1, 4, 5, 6, and 14 to gather insights and needs from local residents.
- Ward Public Consultation Meetings: Public forums will take place in the same wards to further engage the community in dialogue about their development priorities.
- Drilling and Installation of Solar-Powered Boreholes and Jojo Tanks: This essential phase will improve water access in Wards 1, 4, 5, 6, and 14, addressing crucial needs for clean water.
- Project Review Workshop: After the project phases are implemented, a workshop will be held to evaluate outcomes and officially conclude the project.
- Constituency-Level Public Feedback Meeting: A final meeting will engage community members in providing feedback and discussing proposals for future CDF projects.
