Hwange, Zimbabwe – The Whange Central constituency has finally received its long-awaited Constituency Development Fund (CDF) disbursement, with 1.3 million ZiG deposited into the special bank account set up to administer the funds.
According to a statement issued by Hon. MP Fortune Daniel Molokele, the disbursement is part of the 2024 national budget, and the first since 2022. The Parliament of Zimbabwe has confirmed that there will be no disbursement under the 2023 national budget.

The local CDF Committee will initiate the rollout of approved projects in five wards: Ward One, Four, Five, Six, and Fourteen, with the remaining wards to be covered by the next disbursement.
However, there is still uncertainty surrounding the timing of CDF funds under the 2025 and 2026 national budgets.
